My professional practice focuses on tax advice. Before founding PARS, I worked for twelve years at Uría Menéndez, in the Barcelona, London and Madrid offices, engaged in a wide range of tax matters, keeping a tax lawyer profile essentially broad in its scope.

Main areas of practice and expertise

My professional experience has revolved the following main axes:

• Advising on company acquisitions and business restructurings.
  Helping clients to (i) determine and optimise the tax implications of the transaction, (ii) limit the seller's liabilities to the buyer; (iii) assess the company's potential tax contingencies and structure the transaction appropriately; and (iv) in corporate restructurings, analyse tax costs and the possible application of the tax neutrality regime.
• Advising private clients, business families and family businesses.‍
  Helping clients to (i) assess and improve their business, investment and assets ownership structures, as well as the income generation strategy; (ii) organise the generational transfer of wealth and of the family business; (iii) assess the tax implications in disputes between partners and family members; (iv) organise transfers of residence to Spain or abroad.
• Advice on tax audits and tax litigation.
  Helping clients to (i) define the strategy and represent their interests in tax audits; (ii) defend their interests in tax tribunals and in courts of justice; and (iii) consider the scenarios after the completion of such proceedings.
• Advice on real estate transactions.
  Helping clients to (i) understand the tax implications of the sale of a property; (ii) assess the potential tax contingencies linked to the asset or company; and (iii) structure the transaction appropriately, with a focus on the economic and financial impact of indirect taxation, the tax implications of income streams and future divestment.
